Rockford: The Rockford Regional Good Government PAC is announcing the names of candidates the organization chose to endorse in the upcoming February 28th primary. Candidates submitted questionnaires and participated in an interview process. Voting records and other public information were utilized in a very thorough process.

The following candidate is endorsed:

Dr. Tim Durkee, (R) for Rockford City Council, 1st Ward. As a practicing physician, Alderman Tim Durkee knows how to listen, and he uses that skill effectively as an elected official. He has been a thoughtful leader on the Rockford City Council providing excellent representation for the 1st Ward. Dr. Durkee recognizes that to best help his ward he must advance an agenda that helps create a better Rockford overall. He wants to make Rockford a place where all of our children will want to live, work and play when they grow up. Alderman Tim Durkee is strongly endorsed for re-election.

“It was truly a pleasure to meet and interview these candidates. Their passion and determination to improve our community was evident. They each exemplified a strong commitment to accountability, transparency, and the need to put our community first. These values are very much aligned with our mission and goals of the Rockford Region Good Government PAC” said Tracie Burress, Board Member.

The Rockford Regional Good Government PAC was formed in the summer of 2016 with the goal of raising funds and endorsing candidates for local elections.
