John: Fantastic location...wonderful owner!

Alessandra's apartment was the absolute perfect location for our first family trip to Florence. She was a super organized hostess, easy to communicate with, and very professional. On the first night she gave us three restaurant recommendations...all of which we tried, and all of which were fantastic! The best part of all...they were all on our street! The view of the Ponte Vecchio, as well as the ability to walk to every location in Florence from this apartment made it perfect!

Bryan: Great Apartment in a Great Location

Our family of four rented this apartment for a fantastic week in Florence. The apartment is great, located in the heart of Florence, and is within convenient walking distance of all of the major sights, attractions and locations. It's also an easy 20 minute walk to the main train station, making day trips convenient as well. The area around the apartment has plentiful shopping and restaurants, and a small grocery store just a block away. The apartment was well-stocked, clean and updated, and had all of the available features mentioned in the listing. Alessandra was a great hostess, and her communication and attentiveness was fantastic.

Connie: Excellent place to call "home"!

Happy to have found this place! We really enjoyed our week at the old bridge apartment. It is in the heart of Florence, making it easy to head "home" for an afternoon break to put our feet up, enjoy the view of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio before heading out for an enjoyable evening. Although we ate out for most dinners, it was great to have a nicely appointed kitchen to make breakfast and brew coffee. The grocery store is very near and there is a rolling cart available to carry things home in. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and private, making it easy to travel with another couple or with children. Alessandra is very helpful. She offered to arrange a cab for us to get to the airport. The day before we left we found out that there was one day taxi strike planned! Without her help we would have been unaware of the strike until the day of departure. We were grateful for her assistance and made it to the airport in a private taxi when there were no public taxis to be had. She was delightful to work with.

Bob: Perfect for 2 Adult Couples - Hope to Return

Location – adjacent to Ponte Vecchio, on the Arno River, everywhere walkable (minutes): Ponte Vecchio (1), large grocery store (2), Uffizi & Museo Galileo (6), Palazzo Vecchio (9), Palazzo Pitti (5), Duomo (15), Accademia (20), train/bus stations (25), Piazza Michelangelo (25). Airport 25€ by taxi for 4 including luggage. Gelato and restaurants nearby.

Apartment – One flight of stairs above street level, key entry to building, secure and very safe feeling. Small in-wall safe. Perfect for 2 adult couples. Quite spacious. Mater bedroom with en suite full bathroom (shower) faces street to the south. 2nd bedroom overlooks the Arno river and the adjacent Ponte Veechio, pleasing music sometimes playing on bridge, quiets after 10:00. Full bath (shower) is immediately outside bedroom door and private. Large enough beds seemed firm but we slept great, several pillows. Bedrooms far apart adds privacy. Spacious living room/dining room overlooks the river. Great to have a clothes washer (and 2 drying racks), didn’t use the air conditioning, dish washer or stove. Well equipped including 2 hair driers, wine bottle opener, TV, WI-FI, computer and printer. Alessandra was easy to work with and helpful.

Home Base – we rented for 10 nights. We made one overnight trip via 2.1 hour train to Venice (Hotel AI do MORI) and another to Cinque Terre (Albergo Barbara). Given the crowded Venice Vaporetto and Cinque Terre trains, it was very nice to do these with only a backpack and not having to repack and lug full suitcases. A day-trip to these two would have been insufficient. Also did a Prestige Rent small group day-trip to Tuscany that met 5 minutes away.

David: Spacious, clean, ideally located and reasonablly priced

The booking process through Homeaway, my first experience, was painless. We were met on time and the charges were as advertised. Alessandra was charming, on time and very thorough in her explanations of the apartments features. The apartment was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. The Wi-fi was good and having a printer available was a nice bonus. The location, practically on the Ponte Vecchio, in a nice neighborhood and with a wide range of restaurants close by, was ideal.
